Stop 3: Arches National Park

Third stop mfs!!! Arches National Park, baby. We officially are out of Colorado and onto Utah. We made it to Arches around noon, and we were some of the only people there (once again). Because of the time of year we're going on this trip, the majority of the parks are extremely calm. Meaning, we get to do WAY more in WAY less time and its WAY easier to find campsites at each location. Plus J gets to take good pictures without people in the way. Nice.
We drove to literally every viewpoint in the park, and did a couple of hikes on the first day. Oh! And ate at Moab Diner, which was cheap (hell ya) and good (double hell yeah). Unfortunately on the second day, we accidentally hiked 10 miles on a primitive trail in a downpour of snow (the intention was a 2 mile loop. With no snow, of course). By the time we got back to our campsite, we were soaking wet, exhausted, and pissed the fuck off. Luckily our day only got better! We then got to pack up a snow covered tent amidst the downpour and drive to town. We ran a few errands, and then went to head back up to our campsite (where we left our bikes, cooler, misc. items). And wouldn't ya know it! The park was CLOSED. Sick.
Whatever. We got a sick motel for like $50 and took a much needed shower after our accidental hike. The park was still closed until noon the next day, but we eventually made it up there to get the rest of our shit and head over to Canyonlands.
Overall, the snow situation was less than ideal. BUT we saw some nice ass views, J got some good pics, and we had a fun lil motel night (shoutout Bowen Motel in Moab, UT).
Talk soon babes,
Drew
